Zharikbaev Kubigul (Kubygul) Bozaevich
       Soviet and Kazakhstani scientist, doctor of pedagogical sciences (1982), doctor of psychological sciences (2003), professor (1984 ) Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the Republic of Kazakhstan (1998). Honorary Academician of the public association “Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Kazakhstan”. Professor of Department of Ethnic and Educational Psychology at Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi. Honorary Member of NAS RK.

In 1946 he graduated from the Aktobe Teachers Institute, worked as a teacher and senior pioneer leader of the Alga Kazakh high school. In 1954 he graduated from the Department of Logic and Psychology of Kazakh State University named after S. M. Kirov (now KazNU named after al-Farabi). In 1951-1958 he was engaged in teaching activities at the Shymkent Pedagogical Institute, then he taught at the universities of Kyzylorda and Almaty. In 1977-1987, associate professor, head of the department; since 1987 professor at KazSU. Since 1998 he is a Director of the Center for Ethnopedagogy and Ethnopsychology, he is  Academician T. Tazhibaev.

In 1961-1967 he studied at the graduate school of the Department of Psychology at Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov and Moscow State Pedagogical Institute named after V.I. Lenin, in 1967 he defended his thesis on “The development of psychological thought in Kazakhstan (from the second half of the XIX century to the present day).” In October 1982 at the Kiev State Pedagogical Institute named after Gorky defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Development of pedagogical thought in pre-revolutionary Kazakhstan”, and in 2003 at KazNU named after al-Farabi – a doctoral dissertation on the topic “Formation of the foundations of scientific psychology in Kazakhstan (history and stages of development in the 20th century)”, specializing in Psychology.
