The national scientific and practical conference titled “The World of Al-Farabi – A Core National Value” was held
The event was organized by the International Al-Farabi Center of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Central Scientific Library “Gylym Ordasy.” Active participation was also taken by the International Turkic Academy, the Cultural Foundation of Turkic Peoples, the Y. Altynsarin Academy of Education under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Department of Education of Almaty City, the Al-Farabi–Al-Mashani Educational Center, and the Rukhaniyat – Abu Nasr al-Farabi Museum under the Department of Culture of the Turkestan Region.
Over its nine decades of existence, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has rightfully become the flagship of Kazakhstani science and education. Bearing the name of the great scholar of the Great Steppe, the university and its International Al-Farabi Center have been purposefully engaged in promoting and disseminating the ideas of the Eastern philosopher. His legacy, as a cultural symbol, holds special significance for the moral and spiritual development of Kazakhstani society and represents a national treasure that embodies the deep roots of Kazakh culture within the broader Turkic civilization.
The comprehensive inclusion of Al-Farabi’s heritage into the conceptual frameworks of scientific, educational, and pedagogical development will contribute to the formation of cultural and historical memory and the transmission of spiritual codes across generations.

In the jubilee year marking the 1155th anniversary of Abu Nasr al-Farabi, participants of the conference discussed the conceptual ideas of the great philosopher in the context of the scientific and spiritual development of modern Kazakhstan.
The Conference Resolution included the following proposals:
1. To establish “Al-Farabi Day” as a state holiday and prepare the necessary documentation for submission to the relevant authorities;
2. To open the Al-Farabi House-Museum in the city of Almaty.
The participants of the conference unanimously supported these initiatives.
The main resolutions adopted were:
• To officially recognize and celebrate Al-Farabi Day annually (not only during anniversary years);
• To create the “Al-Farabi House” in Almaty, taking into account that similar centers exist in several countries around the world.
