Professor Albert Fischler delivered a lecture at KazNU

The Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, the Department of Philosophy, and the Al-Farabi Research Center organized a lecture by French scholar, Honorary Professor, Knight of the Order of Academic Palms, and laureate of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s Peace and Harmony Award, Albert Fischler, titled “The Relevance of Al-Farabi’s Heritage in Modern Science.”
During the lecture, Professor Albert Fischler discussed in detail the significance of Al-Farabi’s scientific legacy in contemporary science. He emphasized that Al-Farabi’s philosophical ideas had a profound influence not only on Eastern civilization but also on the development of Western science and philosophy. The professor highlighted the importance of using Al-Farabi’s heritage as a methodological foundation for addressing complex issues in modern science and philosophy. According to him, a broader international study of Al-Farabi’s teachings contributes to strengthening dialogue and mutual understanding between cultures. At the end of the lecture, participants exchanged views, and Professor Fischler provided detailed answers to the questions. It was noted that the event will pave the way for new scientific initiatives in the study of Al-Farabi’s legacy.
