On November 18, 2020, at 16:00 Almaty time (12:00 Damascus time), an online conference was held on the topic “The contribution of Abu Nasr al-Farabi to Islamic civilization”.

This scientific event was attended by leading scientists in the field of Islamic philosophy and science, Arabic language and Farabi studies from the University of Damascus (Syrian Arab Republic) and Kazakhstan. The conference is organized within the framework of cultural and scientific events dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of Abu Nasr al-Farabi, the great thinker, encyclopedist, music theorist and second teacher after Aristotle.
